Bible Verses

My father was not there for me when I was young, though he was home nearly every night. But Yeshua blessed me with 3 ½ years of visits to my father at the end of his life. See My Story and Remitting Sins, chapters 2 & 4.

“And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” (Mark 10:13-16)

“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 40:11)

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 49:15-16)

“But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.” (Psalms, Tehillim 22:9. Also vv. 10-11)

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:1-4b. Also, Exodus, Sh’mot 20:12a; Mark 7:9-13)

Relationship and presence must accompany the discipline of a father. “Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4b)

“When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.” (Psalms, Tehillim 27:10)

“He hath sent me to bind up, to heal the brokenhearted.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 61:1b; Luke 4:18b)

“For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 66:12-13)

“For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 61:7)

“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” (Luke 7:47, Also vv. 36-50) Notice, “Her” is capitalized in the KJV.

“You should be aware that the ransom paid to free you from the worthless way of life which your fathers passed on to you did not consist of anything perishable like silver or gold; on the contrary, it was the costly bloody sacrificial death of the Messiah, as of a lamb without defect or spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19 CJB)

“When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 59:19b)

“Every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” (Isaiah, Yesha’Yahu 54:17)
